Situation: Marketing-wise, everything was a bit of a mishmash of misfiring elements, from the promotion-heavy socials to the out-of-control website, all damaging the brand and preventing the business from fulfilling its potential.
Solution: Conduct an audit, hit the reset button on the website, recalibrate the socials to raise engagement and turn the Fade Doctor into a lifestyle brand through some authentic storytelling and merch.

Interest in the Fade Doctor was fading.
This was one of those situations where we were engaged for one thing – in this case, to manage the Fade Doctor’s socials – but it quickly became apparent there was more to do to help this young business thrive.
True, the Fade Doctor’s socials needed work. The content was heavy on promotions but low on engagement. And what’s the point of having promotions if nobody engages with them?
But there were broader issues, not least that many of the brand’s online channels had fallen by the wayside. So, we conducted a complete audit and set about putting a razor-sharp edge on the Fade Doctor’s brand, marketing and digital assets, with a focus on storytelling and short-form video on Insta.

We get this a lot. And we understand why small business owners shy away from the web. But the Fade Doctor’s website was unmanaged – the previous web developer had gone MIA.
The site was a mishmash of broken links and dated information – a valuable asset that was out of control and doing more harm than good.
We quickly developed a new website and took the opportunity to flesh out the Fade Doctor’s brand and story, including new photography that communicates the energy, passion and welcoming faces of the team.

There are projects that light us up and we love to be a part of. This was one of those projects: A new merchandise drop!
We coordinated the entire drop, from working with Armin on merch items, styles and colours to ordering, design, the photoshoot and finally promotion and marketing.
In line with the brand evolution and our emphasis on conveying key values, we selected the colours for the drop:
- Burnt orange and yellow (fresh, high-energy vibes)
- Lavender (grounding the brand, a comforting accent)
- Black and white (timeless and classic).
The fresh design, featuring a motto Armin lives by, elevated the pieces beyond mere promotional merchandise. It’s an approach that enables customers to buy into the brand and lifestyle. To belong to something bigger than a barber shop – a philosophy, an attitude. And that’s exactly what the Fade Doctor is.
